February / Beauty with a Purpose

When I hear the word Beauty....many things pop into my mind.
Anguish...
Something to strive for as we face the mirror each day and count the number of lines on our face, or a step on the scale and allow a measly number to determine if it will be a good morning or not. Allowing the judges scoring to be photo shopped pictures that are impossible to obtain.
Acceptance...
Loving yourself, the way you were made. No one is or will ever be perfect. Doing the best with what you have and making it work! Educating yourself in how to dress, best colors for you, ideal hair and make-up styles. When we know better, we do better.
Peaceful...
A beautiful sunset, an early morning sunrise over fresh water or mountains with or without snow on top.
Joy...
Those who embrace life and and are not bound from their past from enjoying the everyday things of, even in a day to "get things done".
Laughter...
People who have fun anywhere and do not care "what others think, who might be looking on".
Giving...
Those who truly "get it" that life is a journey and where we have been can be a blessing to others
when we can stop and pour into the lives of others and share from our past experiences, good and bad to help and encourage others.
Rest...
Not afraid to say no. Understanding that rest is important mentally and physically and that working from a place of rest can help to stay focused on what is really important and what can wait.
Health...
We all come in different sizes and shapes. Taking care of our health to maintain energy and focus is important to keeping our ideal body proportion & composition in the muscle vs's fat war. I think we can all say we admire those "appear" to be disciplined in this area.
Being...
Being "all there" where ever you are. Not wishing you were always somewhere else. Being fully engaged in mind and body to get the full experience where you are presently.
Growth...
Those who will not settle each day for the same old crazy! Learning from your past.
Reading inspiring books, hearing from others with wisdom. Investing in your life to help others.

When I was much younger, beauty used was something external only to me, until I grew up enough and experienced more things in life to know different. I then began to appreciate that everything that happens in life can be used for future references for ourselves and others who are willing to grow and learn, from...

As we approach Valentines Day...
Love... Is upon us, as we all desperately want to be loved and have someone to love us back.
Love is selfless, giving, peaceful, joyful, patience, kind and not self seeking, does not brag, is not rude, does not hurt others.

You + Acting out everything you do from a place of Love = True Beauty with a Purpose.
