Color Change for a Season

As the cool weather begins to set in, it's a sign that we too must change our colors. Yes, it is time to lose the spray tans and stay "current" with the season. Here are a few things to keep in mind as we transition into a different time of year. As the warm weather fades...so must our skin tone to reflect the current time. For those of us who "love" the spray tans...our tans we may feel washed out at first.

When there is more color in the skin tone there is less color needed on our faces. So, when we have less pigment in our skin tone, more color needs to be added to enhance our features to keep from looking too washed out through the cooler. For instance, more colors on the eyes that compliment the eye color is ideal for cooler weather. If you have brown eyes and typically wear neutrals, try using gold and green. Think of green as a new neutral, because it is. Look outside at the foliage everywhere and see that there is not a color that doesn't look fabulous next to any shade of green.

Great colors
for brown and green eyes are....vintage glam & chic pressed eye shadows. Garden green eye pencil.

Blue eyes...vintage glam, cappuccino and midnight blue pressed eye shadows with electric blue eye or steel pencil. Add "so peachy" blush to spice up your cheeks and top it off with a warm amber lip plumper for a smooth hydrated finish. And yes...you can still use a little bronzer to add dimension for your face, adding it only around the hairline sides of nose and cheek bones and neck. This will keep you in a healthy believable color if applied moderately, not to make you look like you have been in a dust storm.
